LGBTQ+

Here at Making, we believe in creating an inclusive, compassionate space where all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, are embraced and celebrated. It’s necessary to recognize and educate ourselves as individuals and as businesses to be a part of the change that is imperative to uplifting all queer people and gender non-conforming folx, and amplifying BIPOC, disAbled, and other marginalized voices. Remember that pride month exists because of the inspirational fight against police brutality and for comprehensive justice led by Marsha P. Johnson, a Black, bisexual, trans woman. Social justice issues intersect across many lines including but not limited to race, class, religion, gender identity, sexuality, ability, and nationality. For more information about the LGBTQ+ community and gender identity, we urge you to explore the links, literature, and resources below to take action against bigotry and discrimination.
